Accuracy Choice board

The most important part to this process is the Feedback Loop . Students need to be accountable for the activities they complete and engage with and for the progress towards meeting their goals. I held daily conferences to teach students accountability, building in that intrinsic motivation for students to reflect on their own success and progress. The questions I would ask students who did not complete the assigned tasks would be centered on self reflection.
Examples would be 'Why do you think you didn't complete the task you chose?', 'What support did you need to achieve your goal?', 'How could I help you to achieve your goal', 'What could you do differently?'. This self reflection technique helped students work through identifying areas of struggle or areas where they lacked interest. The choice board students engaged in had a variety of choices to try and meet students interests levels. I encouraged students to choose activities they would be interested in exploring and working through. |
