Due to Covid, people were not accessing public resources as readily as before. The Library had limited access for their materials. Individuals would need to put books or materials on hold and pick them up, curbside when they became available. The Library offered to help the public to continue taking out books by offering to select books for recipients through a program called Surprise Me Bundle. This allowed the user to go online, fill out a simple survey about reading interests, and the Library would select up to 10 books for the individual to pick up. During one of our literacy blocks I completed the survey to show the students how easy it was to access this resource. They would be able to take the books home for an extended amount of time. This was a way to encourage at home literacy for students and to show students how to access community resources.
